The Ralston Recorder from September 20, 1945, provides an accounting of the expenditures made for the Ralston Scouts baseball team. Nearly all of the costs were covered by donations.
The August 30 paper noted that Ralston still had a half-game lead at 6-5, with Papillion and Millard both at 6-6 and Elkhorn at 5-6. Ralston's final game was at home against Elkhorn, meaning if they lost, all four teams would have a 6-6 record. There was no report on the outcome of the game in the next two editions of the Ralston Recorder, so the results of that final game are not known.
