From the Recorder: December 23, 1943

Today's article from December 23, 1943, notes that farmers are considered essential workers and have a draft deferment. If they wish to work off the farm during the winter, they must get permission to do so in order to maintain their deferment.

Also, note the misspelling of "Nebrasva" in the banner and a random sentence inserted in the middle of a sentence towards the end of the article.
